Mu Security Analyzer picks up two more industry accolades

 • 14 January, 2008 11:15

MELBOURNE, January 14 - The acclaimed Mu-4000 Security Analyzer from Mu Security, now available in Australia, secured two industry Product of the Year awards over the recent holiday period.

The latest accolades came in the form of an Infoworld Technology Product of the Year Award; and an Internet Telephony magazine Product of the Year Award. Mu customers ShoreTel, Juniper, Avaya, Redback and Veraz were among other category winners of the Internet Telephony award.

InfoWorld assessors said: “The Mu-4000 uses intelligent fuzzing logic to expose security weaknesses and performance issues in any device that talks to an IP network. Setup is a breeze, the GUI is excellent, and the Mu-4000 profiles security issues better than any other vulnerability assessment tool we've used. The Mu can even generate exploit binaries for newly discovered vulnerabilities. To top it off, Mu's intelligent workflow can turn untrained employees into a professional penetration team in a day.”

Rich Tehrani, Editor-in-Chief of Internet Telephony, said: "We are proud to recognise the greatest achievements in the advancement of VoIP and IP telecommunications technologies in 2007. "These companies have proven they are dedicated to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace."

Earlier last year, four high profile infotech award citations also raised the Mu-4000 profile among industry players. These comprise a Silver Readers' Choice Award from TechTarget's Information Security Magazine; 2007 Frost & Sullivan Award for Product of the Year in the security test and measurement industry; 2007 Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) Labs Innovation Award; and finalist for the prestigious 2007 NXTcomm EOS Network Award in the Network Design/Services Group Category, Network Infrastructure.
