Philip Yeap promoted to Vice President, Marketing Asia Pacific and Japan for Symantec

<p>SYDNEY, Australia – 14 August 2007- Philip Yeap has been promoted to vice president, Marketing, Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) geography. His charter is to strengthen the Symantec brand across APJ, one of the fastest growing regions of the world.</p>
<p>With more than 14 years industry experience, Philip will be leading the region’s marketing initiatives to build Symantec’s market presence and establish the company’s position as a global leader in infrastructure software, enabling businesses and consumers to have confidence in a connected world.</p>
<p>In his previous position as senior director for Marketing, Philip was responsible for Symantec’s segment and product marketing, as well as planning and management of go-to-market strategies across 13 markets in Asia Pacific. His other responsibilities include branding, analyst relations and e-marketing. With this new role, he will be adding Japan to his regional portfolio.

In this new role, Philip Yeap will report to Enrique Salem, group president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing.</p>
