gotalk launches $14.95 per month ADSL2+ broadband service.

<p>Fast growing Tier 2 Telco gotalk limited has launched a new ADSL2+ broadband service with what it calls “unbeatable” entry level plans from as little as $14.95 per month with a 300Mb data allowance and a bonus off peak 600Mb data allowance.</p>

<p>gotalk CEO Steve Picton said that ADSL2+ is the next generation broadband which delivers download speeds up to 80 times faster than standard 256k broadband. Users can experience speeds up to 20000 kbps / 800 kbps (depending on the location and hardware).</p>
<p>"With ADSL2+ users can enjoy accessing information, movies, songs and more from the web in a fraction of the time. They will also enjoy better quality VoIP (voice over internet protocol) calls due to the speed," Mr. Picton said.</p>
<p>“gotalk ADSL2+ makes quality a reality for VoIP users with faster speeds and also enhancements to the QoS (Quality of Service).” Mr. Picton said.</p>
<p>VoIP requires much higher bandwidth as it is real-time sensitive. QoS (Quality of Service) uses intelligence to detect and prioritize bandwidth-sensitive packets (such as VoIP) so that they can be sent over the Internet as soon as the request is made. This results in faster processing of real-time based packets, less latency, and a better user experience.</p>

Let’s take for example, a 90 minute movie which would take you about 4 hours to download on a standard 256K connection, with gotalk ADSL2+ the same movie will download in approximately 20 minutes.</p>
