Fuji Xerox Printers signs sponsorship deal with international star and extends existing sponsorship of Sydney Premier League Club, Manly United FC

AUSTRALIA, Sydney – 1 February 2007 - Fuji Xerox Printers Australia today announced a sponsorship deal with international football star, Lucas Neill. Fuji Xerox Printers has also announced it is continuing its naming-rights sponsorship of Manly United Football Club (MUFC), where Neill began his career.

Under the agreement, Neill, will become an ambassador for the Fuji Xerox Printers brand with the company using Neill as the face of its marketing and promotional campaigns for 2007.

Fuji Xerox Printers’ continued sponsorship of the MUFC will see the company participating in the local sports community at the grassroots level.

Paul Harman, Fuji Xerox Printers, said, “We are very proud to announce our association with Lucas Neill and the extension of our Manly United FC sponsorship. We look forward to Lucas being involved with our brand and see obvious parallels with the rise of the prominence of football in Australia and the growth of Fuji Xerox Printers.

Harman continued, “It’s very important to the Fuji Xerox Printers team that we choose sponsorships that add value to the local community in which we live and work. Fuji Xerox Printers is based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where Lucas started his football career with MUFC, which makes today’s announcements a perfect fit for us. The importance of being involved at the grassroots level with the local community is just as high for Lucas as it is for us, as evidenced by the Lucas Neill Scholarship program.”

The Lucas Neill Scholarship is designed to raise the profile of the Manly United Football Club within the international football community and support the careers of local stars. It is an annual award for one MUFC under 16 player. The most talented player, identified by Neill and a panel of expert judges, wins a three-week trip to train with the youth academies of the English Premier League clubs in Blackburn, Liverpool and Newcastle in the UK and Charleroi in Belgium.
