Sydney, Australia, 23 June, 2004--Today, Viewlocity announced general availability of version 4.3 of the company's flagship supply chain visibility and event management software. Widely recognised as a leader and pioneer in the field, the release provides the enterprise software market with a view into how this software category is evolving.

With a focus on inter-enterprise business process management, enhancements in the new release include dynamic modeling and management for both order and fulfillment processes in extended enterprise environments. Business users can now set up, monitor and manage both domestic and international order and fulfillment processes themselves, while accessing rich alerting and reporting capabilities that can drastically improve order and fulfillment metrics.

The release also debuts key new administrative features for enhanced data management and more streamlined system operation. Together, these features will save system owners significant costs while enhancing the application's usability and demonstrate a new level of maturity in this class of applications.

Other new features include:
-- Rich graphical interface for process building and viewing, allowing visualisation of entire order and fulfillment lifecycles including
milestones, durations and sequences, parties involved and exceptions

-- Advanced transportation network management, allowing route and mode selection based on delivery and cost implications of decisions arising from supply chain exceptions

-- The ability for users to assign and manage the completion of tasks related to processes and events

-- Enhanced data management & cleansing, improving system performance

"The ability to visualise order status and fulfillment activities allows business users to quickly comprehend the impact of supply chain disruptions on delivery dates, costs, and other dependent processes and activities," said Michael Sherman, the company's chief technology officer and head of product development.

"Our development organisation has consistently kept us ahead of the pack," added Fadi Geha, Viewlocity's Asia Pacific Managing Director. "We're continuing to develop and deliver customer-driven product innovation that keeps raising the bar for supply chain software. These enhanced capabilities and streamlined system administration features will allow our customers to better monitor, manage and predict demand and fulfillment activities, while improving service levels and controlling costs."
