Alphawest Signs Agreement with DICOM

<p>Alphawest, an Australian IT Services business announced it has entered into a partnership with DICOM, a global leader of Information Capture and Business Communications solutions.</p>
<p>DICOM Australia has recently appointed Alphawest as a National Partner, to market, service and support DICOM’s leading Information Capture Solutions and Business Communications Solutions.</p>
<p>These solutions automate the capture of information from documents and forms, and delivers reliable, retrievable information into a company’s business applications enterprise wide. They greatly reduce costly manual data entry and bring immediate benefits such as increased efficiency and cost-savings.</p>
<p>Organisations that deal with a lot of forms, such as the government and financial services, particularly benefit from DICOM’s Information Capture Solutions as it captures unstructured data such as handwritten information from customers, converts it into data, and saves staff from the menial task of data entry and increases their productivity.</p>
<p>Alphawest can add value by configuring and customising these solutions then integrating them into an organisation’s workflow applications. For example, if a customer faxes a bank an incomplete application form, the solution captures the data and flags the missing information to a customer service representative. Other examples include mailroom automation – the mail is opened, then scanned and distributed electronically. Another good example is the business process of Accounts Payable – the software captures information from an invoice such as the ABN, purchase order number and line items purchased, then automatically enters it into the company’s financial applications.</p>
