Sydney 28th February, 2005 - SonicWALL, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNWL), today announced that the Australasian territory has received SonicWALL’s esteemed award for ‘Outstanding Territory for 2005’.

The award recognizes overall excellence in sales and performance across all territories, increased market share against the competitors, development of the channel program and conversion of channel partners onto SonicWALL’s Medallion program.

“This award is testimony to the team’s commitment to investing heavily in our channel partners, from training and marketing viewpoints, so that they can best serve the needs of the customer-base”, said Chris Barton, Regional Manager for SonicWALL, ANZ.

“We have worked hard to deliver programs and solutions that have distinguished our offerings from our competition and grown our sales overall and this award proves that we have a winning formula for success.”

The local SonicWALL team is heavily committed to working over the next twelve months to maintain this number one position and is exploring new ways of helping SonicWALL’s channel partners become even more successful.

“This is excellent news and confirms that SonicWALL is a stellar performer in this region”, says George Poutakidis, a Gold Medallion partner. “Importantly it clearly demonstrates to channel partners and customers alike that SonicWALL is a leading brand in the business network security and enablement category world-wide and that’s a reassuring and motivating message”.

Recent SonicWALL offerings include the SSL VPN 2000 and 200 appliances. Aimed at the SMB market both of these appliances allow remote and mobile users to connect to their network from any location and any computer using only a Web browser, securely accessing resources such as e-mail, files, intranets and applications.

For even more powerful capabilities such as seamless, secure access to corporate servers or complex applications, the appliance transparently pushes a downloadable thin client (NetExtender) to the user’s desktop or laptop.

Both of these appliances are available through SonicWALL’s distributors in Australia and New Zealand – itX, Ingram Micro, ACA Pacific and Lan 1 in Australia and Renaissance in NZ.
