Acterna Announces TechComplete Work Order Solution - Uniquely Integrates Software and Applications to Improve Electronic Work Order Process for Cable Field Technicians

<p>Sydney, Australia and Hong Kong, July 7 2004 -- Acterna today announced the availability of its TechComplete Work Order Solution, an extension of Acterna's TechComplete Solutions designed to improve the process of work orders by introducing efficiency and cost-saving techniques to the cable industry's field technicians.</p>
<p>TechComplete's Work Order Solutions empowers field technicians with the ability to improve work processes in a variety of ways, including:
help eliminate paper work orders and administrative tasks;
use existing and 'paid for' RF plant to eliminate monthly wireless data charges;
equip technicians with real time access to information to complete their job;
allow dispatchers to save time and automate the flow of information to technicians;
transform test instruments into multifunctional devices resulting in capital savings and leading edge testing capabilities for technicians.</p>

<p>TechComplete Work Order Solution delivers electronic work orders to field technicians primarily via Acterna's handheld Digital Service Activation Meter (DSAM) web browser or a standard web enabled device. This solution now includes the necessary back office software to integrate in the billing system, administer set up of the system, as well as support the application running on the DSAM browser. It also provides important functions for technicians in the field, including a list of assigned work orders, box hits, closeout work orders and the ability to view marketing promotions for upselling in the field -- all of which are made available via the browser in Acterna's DSAM. With this offering, Acterna is able to provide customers one complete solution including hardware (DSAM field devices) and the software enabling applications for the instrument.</p>
