Create Largest Australian Independent Telecommunications Consultancy</p>
<p>Monday 19th July 2004 – Gibson Quai has completed the acquisition of AAS Consulting Pty Ltd. The two firms will merge and be known as Gibson Quai-AAS.</p>
<p>Gibson Quai is part of the UXC Business Solutions Group, and is recognised as the leading independent telecommunications consulting firm. The acquisition of AAS Consulting expands service delivery capabilities and strengthens existing market leadership in the Australian telecommunications consulting market.</p>
<p>AAS Consulting is one of Australia’s best-known and respected telecommunications management and technology consultants. The business has been operating since 1983 via AAS Consulting and its predecessor Amos Aked Swift. AAS Consulting has offered strategic, business and technical consulting services to a wide range of clients in industry and government.</p>
<p>With this acquisition, Gibson Quai will be able to expand the breadth of independent consulting services offered through existing offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth.</p>
<p>Dominic Quai, the CEO of Gibson Quai, will head the merged entity. David Swift, the Managing Director of AAS Consulting, will continue in the merged business. He will have a key national executive role as well as direct responsibility for the combined Gibson Quai and AAS Consulting offices in Sydney</p>
<p>Dominic Quai, commented, “This merger will allow us to offer even higher levels of service to our clients, as well as broadening our independent research and consulting capabilities. Our two companies have very similar cultures, so we think our existing clients will feel right at home with the merged consultancy.”</p>
<p>This acquisition marks the next stage of a successful national growth strategy. Telsyte, Australia’s leading telecommunications market research firm, was successfully acquired by Gibson Quai in 2002.</p>
<p>David Swift added, “The merger with Gibson Quai is an exciting opportunity for AAS Consulting customers and staff. With the combined Gibson Quai-AAS firm, we will enhance our existing portfolio of services such as our Wireless Network Planning and Benchmarking capabilities via Gibson Quai’s existing offices and the Telsyte market research business unit.”</p>
