• 25 April, 2005 14:08

Today, Mercury Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ: MERQ), the global leader in business technology optimization (BTO), announced that the integration between Mercury SiteScope® 7.9.5 and Siebel 7.7 has been successfully validated by Siebel Systems, Inc.

With this validation, Mercury helps Siebel customers take a business-centric approach to managing the entire application environment including business-critical applications and their supporting infrastructure. Siebel Systems is a leading provider of business applications software. Siebel Systems’ solutions allow organizations to intelligently manage and coordinate all customer interactions across the Web, contact center, field sales/service force, branch/retail network, and indirect and partner distribution channels.

Mercury SiteScope is part of Mercury’s leading application management product and service offerings. Mercury SiteScope is an agentless monitoring product that enables customers to monitor the availability and performance of distributed application infrastructures, including servers, operating systems, network devices, network services, applications, and application components. Mercury SiteScope serves as the infrastructure monitoring component of Mercury Performance Center™ and Mercury Business Availability Center™, which is also integrated with Siebel business applications. Mercury SiteScope is also available through Mercury Managed Services™, which provides customers with a hosted version of the product along with a team of application management experts to help manage and monitor production applications and their supporting infrastructure.

The integration of Mercury SiteScope with Siebel business applications allows users to monitor their Siebel business application infrastructure to proactively identify issues that could impact application performance. Mercury SiteScope’s agentless approach enables customers to address application performance management and monitoring without the high overhead, maintenance, and labor costs associated with legacy agent-based monitoring tools.

Mercury SiteScope is also integrated with F5 Network's BIG-IP Traffic Management Solution, to help reduce end user performance issues and application downtime.

“Mercury is committed to integrating our products with Siebel business applications to ensure that our joint customers achieve the levels of application performance and availability required to meet the demands of their business,” said Robin Purohit, vice president of application management products at Mercury. “The Mercury SiteScope integration combined with the Mercury Business Availability Center integration provides Siebel and Mercury customers with a comprehensive offering to maximize the business results from their Siebel initiatives.”

“Monitoring the performance and availability of Siebel applications ensures customer satisfaction and business performance,” said Skip Bacon, vice president of Technology at Siebel Systems.
