<p>According to the American Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) world revenues from IP applications such as video, audio conferencing, unified messaging and instant messaging totalled $1.5 billion in 2003 and will increase to $11.4 billion by 2007 - a 66.5% compound annual growth rate.</p>
<p>A recent videoconferencing study in the Asia-Pacific region by Audrey Williams, industry manager at market research company Frost and Sullivan, the local videoconferencing market in 2003 was worth $17.3 million and expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 22.4 per cent over the forecast period 2003-10.</p>
