Plumtree Appoints Dean Stockwell as General Manager, Asia Pacific

 • 25 February, 2004 12:17

SYDNEY, Australia, Feb. 25, 2004 -- Enterprise Web leader Plumtree Software (Nasdaq: PLUM) has appointed Dean Stockwell as General Manager Asia Pacific, a Sydney-based role in which he will assume responsibility for all of the company's operations across the region.

A twelve-year veteran of the information technology industry in roles spanning Europe and Asia, Stockwell was previously the company's APAC Professional Services Director. He takes over from Jay Simons, who has returned from Singapore to his native USA to fill a senior position in Plumtree's San Francisco head office.

"Enterprises are yet to realise the full potential of portals," Stockwell said. "One of my most important goals will be to demonstrate how Plumtree can help them transform their portals into a framework for building services-oriented applications. These applications bring a variety of traditional systems together, present them over the Web and manage them within one administrative framework and shared services."

Stockwell will report directly to Plumtree's CEO John Kunze, who said his experience and record of achievement makes for an ideal appointment. "Dean joined Plumtree in 2000 as one of the founding members of our APAC team. He knows the region well and his previous role as Professional Services Director means he understands our customers and their needs intimately. Combined with his extensive business and leadership experience, Dean is a natural selection to drive Plumtree forward in the region."
