Sydney, March 7, 2005 – Hyperion (Nasdaq: HYSL), the leading provider of Business Performance Management (BPM) software, is building on its success in the New Zealand market by expanding its Alliance Partner agreement with Altis Consulting to include the entire Hyperion product range. In a related move, Altis has recruited John Smith as Business Development Manager to grow its BPM business in New Zealand.

Altis Consulting has been an Implementation Partner of Hyperion since 1998. This has now been expanded to an Alliance Partnership agreement. Altis Consulting was established in Australia in 1998 and opened subsidiary Altis Consulting New Zealand in 2002 to meet the growing demand for services from customers across the Tasman. The company has offices in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Auckland. It has a team of more than 50 consultants.

“Hyperion has already established a presence in the New Zealand market through our work with major customers such as dairy products cooperative Fonterra and construction materials manufacturer and distributor Fletcher Building,” said Russell Evans, Managing Director of Hyperion Australia and New Zealand. “These are high-profile New Zealand-based companies with global operations. Now we are building on our success in the market by expanding our partnership with Altis Consulting to include the reseller rights for the Hyperion Business Performance Management Suite as well as our Business Intelligence tools.”

Altis Consulting’s customers in New Zealand include Vodafone, Air New Zealand and Manukau City Council. In Australia, the company’s customers include the AusAID, the Bureau of Statistics, Australian Consolidated Press, CSIRO, Orange/Hutchison Telecommunications, Qantas, Royal & Sun Alliance, Sydney Airports Corporation, and Trading Post.

“The strengthening of our relationship with Hyperion will pave the way for the next phase of our growth in the New Zealand market in particular,” said Hyun Choi, Director of Business Services of Altis Consulting. “We have developed a strategy with Hyperion to provide its market-leading software and Altis Consulting’s skills and experience in Business Intelligence to large, New Zealand-based organizations as well as selected medium-sized businesses. The Business Intelligence segment is enjoying high growth in New Zealand now as senior managers are recognising that improved profitability and business performance require the right tools to distil relevant information from the masses of data that operational systems collect.”

John Smith, who was appointed Business Development Manager of Altis Consulting in February 2005, will lead the joint Hyperion/Altis thrust into the New Zealand BPM market. He has over 20 years of IT sales experience in New Zealand and Australia, and previously was Business Development Manager of Descisys.
