DIMENSION DATA AUSTRALIA SIGNS MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR MASTER SUPPLY AGREEMENT WITH TRANSACTION SOLUTIONS

- Agreement builds on network monitoring and management services contract -

Sydney, 15 October 2003 – Dimension Data Australia today announced the signing of a Master Supply Agreement with TransAction Solutions, a provider of aggregated data processing services for over ten of Australia’s largest credit unions. The deal is estimated to be worth up to AUS$4 million over a three-year period.

Dimension Data has also signed a AUS$1.2 million contract to deliver network monitoring and management services to TransAction Solutions over the same time frame.

“It was clear that Dimension Data is able to deliver not only on the traffic and capacity planning aspects of our network management requirements, but also provide strategic product and services support that will give us a competitive advantage in the market,” said Guy Light, general manager, TransAction Solutions.

“Based on Dimension Data’s breadth of services and its people, we decided to extend our relationship beyond network management to master supplier. We recognise Dimension Data as a proactive partner with strategic industry links that will be of great value to our organisation.”

Dimension Data will provide proactive online management and monitoring of TransAction Solutions’ Nortel Networks devices combined with ongoing consulting for capacity planning. Through the collection and analysis of vital statistics, Dimension Data’s consulting team will provide architectural recommendations and identify technology transition strategies that align with TransAction Solutions’ business objectives.

The Master Supply Agreement will encompass key Dimension Data product and service offerings such as software licensing, data centre solutions, IP telephony, network products, security solutions, thin client technologies and email archiving.

“Once TransAction Solutions became aware of the services we can offer in network management, they realised the importance of this not just as a monitoring and support service, but also an invaluable source of data and analysis for the business to be able to plan for the next phase of development, across the entire IT infrastructure,” said Gerard Florian, chief technology officer, Dimension Data Australia.

“We were also impressed by the level of confidence Dimension Data has in its core competencies and its ability to say ‘no’, which allow it to focus on providing the products and services it knows best. That is an advantage for us because we can be confident that Dimension Data is capable of providing what it has promised and reducing the risk inherent in new implementations,” concluded Mr Light.
