Australian software development company, Atlassian, has raised $1 million in donations to assist global not-for-profit organisation, Room to Read.

Australian software development company, Atlassian, has announced it will invest $10 million in the creation of ICT jobs in Sydney in 2010-11.

It has been a good year for Atlassian. The software provider closed a $US60 million investment deal with Accel partners for a minority stake in the company in July. Not bad for an Australian outfit co-founded in 2002 by Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, who also head up the day-to-day running of the company.

Fast-growing Australian software company Atlassian this morning revealed it had taken a $US60 million minority investment from US-based venture capital firm Accel Partners, with a long-term view to a public listing in the US.

Hackers broke into a server used by the Apache Software Foundation to keep track of software bugs.
