Tennis Australia has appointed Samir Mahir as its new chief information officer following the departure of Chris Yates.
Mahir has been working for IBM in Atlanta managing the delivery and implementation of the company’s worldwide sponsorship and marketing projects including the Grand Slams, the Masters golf and the Tony Awards. He has also previously worked for the USTA as the Director of Information Technology.
"Samir brings with him a wealth of IT experience from both the events and tennis industries," the organisation said in a statement.
