CIO movers and shakers: Slideshow

A look at recent movements among Australian CIOs

Barry Wiech, Domino's

Former Domino's CIO, Barry Wiech, has left the company to take up the CIO role with milk and dairy products provider, Parmalat Australia.

Wiech spent five years with Domino’s and was responsible for delivering several IT projects, as well as a $150,000 upgrade of the company’s online ordering system in 2007.

In the meantime, Domino's has engaged Recruitment Success in the search for a candidate, and will focus on finding somebody who can jump straight into the thick of things.

“I think Domino’s is the most exciting CIO role in Brisbane, and one of the most exciting in Australia," said Domino's CEO, Don Meij. "We are going to be at the forefront of e-commerce. The CIO will have one of the most challenging and mentally stimulating roles. The IT team and our outsourced partners are continuing to grow. It’s not unrealistic that as we transform to more and more of an e-commerce business, clearly the CIO is going to become the third most critical person in the team.”

Potential candidates can contact Leanne Ferreira from Recruitment Success for more information on the role on 02 8113 2900 or leanne@recruitsuccess.com.au.
