Digital specialist Workstar appoints sales and marketing team

New team supports needs of large enterprise and public sector organisations

Sydney Tuesday 21 August, 2012 – Workstar, the specialists at engaging people in change through digital programmes, today announced the appointment of a new sales and marketing team, headed by Richard McLean as Head of Sales & Marketing. Richard and his new team are responsible for driving and supporting change projects amongst public sector, not-for-profit and large enterprise audiences. Workstar enables its customers to engage effectively with their communities and workforces in new programmes and business initiatives, through compelling and interactive digital mediums.

Richard brings with him a proven track record for leading new market development and business transformations in Australia, New Zealand Europe and the USA, including revenue responsibilities exceeding US$500million and leadership roles with Telecom NZ, NetMap Analytics and the Trans-Tasman Business Circle. Richard’s broad experience as a successful business leader includes a true ability to motivate high-performance teams, instil customer-oriented cultures and develop high levels of employee engagement; a perfect fit with Workstar’s own value proposition to its customers.

Supporting Richard is Corinne Pruden, recently appointed to the key position of Partner Manager at Workstar. Corinne brings international experience both in building strategic partner networks and in the application of change and adoption technologies in public and private sector environments, through previous roles with Oracle Corporation and Kaplan Learning Technologies. Corinne will support and develop relationships with management consulting partners to support faster and more successful execution of their strategic initiatives for clients, and maintain closer continued engagement during project execution.

Also joining the Workstar team is Marlana Voerster in the Value Manager role; a strategic position created to provide ongoing close client consultancy and ensure the delivery of high service levels. Marlana brings with her 10 years of local and international sales and marketing experience, with significant skills in building strong brand identity and developing a loyal customer base.

“This is a very positive step for Workstar and we are delighted to welcome Richard, Corinne and Marlana to the team,” said Martin Greenlees, General Manager of Workstar. “All three are extremely capable and have client-focused attitudes that fit well with the Workstar culture.

“We are best known for our expertise in the corporate sector, where the company has a recognised reputation for increasing the effectiveness and success of strategic change and performance improvement initiatives. We have also developed significant capabilities in healthcare, government and NFP sectors, and led by Richard I believe these new appointments will increase the growing demand we are experiencing across public and private sectors and will extend our engagement with partners and customers.”

“At Workstar we’re in the enviable position of having an excellent service delivery team, and now a new sales and marketing team that is just as talented,” added McLean. “I’m delighted to join a company that prides itself on maintaining such high professional standards and I feel we have a very real opportunity to continue the company’s strong growth both directly and through our valued partners.”
