EMPIRED LIMITED APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM TO SPEARHEAD MULTI MILLION DOLLAR EXPANSION

In a statement issued to the ASX today, Managing Director Russell Baskerville said the multi million dollar contracts were in a state of advanced negotiations and the appointment of the key senior executives “would significantly accelerate Empired Limited’s growth plans. The appointments are : Rob McCready appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Brett Gresele as General Manager, Managed Services, Mike Luyckx as Business Development Manager, Strategic Services and Don Beer as Business Development Manager, Energy &Natural Resources (Detailed background in ASX Announcement which follows). First established in 1999, and headquartered in Perth, Empired Limited is fast growing with a strong national presence, more than 200 staff and is a leading provider of business technology solutions in the Corporate and Government sector. Current client list includes multi million dollar contracts with the Victorian State Government’s Department for Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD), another with Victoria’s St Barbara Mines Limited. Local WA contracts include a $5 Million “Strategic IT Consulting Service” contract with Western Australian Police and a two year $14 Million contract with Main Roads WA.

Australian listed IT Services Company Empired Limited (“Empired” or “the company”) today announced that it had secured a number of key senior executives from the IT sector to significantly accelerate it growth plans.

The appointments round out Empired’s existing management team and leave Empired with arguably one of the strongest and most experienced senior IT leadership teams in the country.

Following the recent appointment of Rob McCready as Chief Operating Officer, Empired has secured a number of additional high profile industry executives. A brief background on each is below.

Rob McCready held a similar role with ASG Limited as National Manager, Sales and Delivery with approximately 700 staff reporting to him and full P&L responsibility across the country. Rob was instrumental in leading their growth from an approximately $50M business to a $155M business producing approximately $28M EBITDA in the 2011 financial year. Prior to this role Rob held a number of senior leadership positions with global computing companies Computer Sciences Corporation and Unisys.

Rob will bring a wealth of Strategic, Executive Leadership and General Management skills to Empired. He is extremely well networked and respected within the IT industry and has an extensive background in all facets of IT including general management, practice management and business development working across a broad range of areas including management consulting, complex application and systems integration and large infrastructure and application managed services.

Brett Gresele has been appointed to the role of General Manager, Managed Services. Brett has a wealth of experience across operational delivery, consulting services, presales, account management and commercial management. Most recently Brett managed ASG Limited’s entire Infrastructure business. Brett will deliver to Empired a well developed customer and vendor network with a high degree of industry credibility.

Mike Luyckx has been appointed as Business Development Manager, strategic services. Mike has a highly successful history and extensive experience in the development and growth of IT businesses both locally and in international markets. Mike was previously National Sales Manager for CSG Limited’s Oracle business. Mike joined CSG Limited following the successful sale of his own Oracle business Delexian to CSG Limited.

Don Beer, has been appointed as Business Development Manager, Energy and Natural Resources. Don was previously with Computer Sciences Corporation where for the last 6 years he has had roles in Business Development across a range of energy and natural resources customers including BHP, Chevron, Woodside, FMG and Inpex. Previously he has had experience in senior sales roles with Sun and Unisys.Don will play a key role in developing Empired’s mining and natural resources go to market strategy nationally as well as pursuing strategic deals for Empired.
