Are you a DevOps Engineer/Senior System Administrator with a proven track record of developing and supporting Microsoft and Linux Technologies within automated and scalable cloud environments (AWS)? If so, this fast growing eCommerce company is looking for you...

This role is based on Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches, so you will need your own vehicle. There is dedicated parking available on site and flexible working hours to avoid the worst of the rush hour traffic.

You will join a growing tech team, delivering both the DevOps Engineer and Senior System Administrator roles to ensure performance of the website and supporting the development team in releasing change for the site. The role will be responsible for managing and maintaining the operational integrity and security of the systems across all environments, ultimately ensuring that the high-availability product environment operates always at peak performance, with reliability, scalability and security to support growth objectives. The role will partner closely with the development team in the development and roll-out of key projects, providing input into long-range networking and data-storage requirements and operational guidelines, with a focus on meeting demands of a rapidly growing and scaling global service

You should have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrate a current knowledge of latest DevOps tooling and practices
  • Have a solid grasp of the latest technologies and suggest better alternatives and more efficient ways if applicable
  • Robust working knowledge of AWS Cloud Solutions
  • Experience of deploying to a public cloud i.e. AWS
  • Experience of containerisation, ideally using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience of automated software configuration, ideally using Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience of continuous integration tooling, ideally using Jenkins
  • Preference for skills in networking / routing / load balancing and VPN configuration
  • Experience with Windows & Linux
  • Strong scripting skills i.e. Ruby, Bash
  • Experience of using automated environment build tooling e.g. Terraform
  • Good understanding of databases is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
