As the Technology Testing Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating the testing of new or changed IT systems/services against the business, system and quality requirements specified prior to production release.


The Technology Testing Coordinator specifies, develops and writes test plans and test scripts; produces test cases; carries out testing; uses manual test cases and automated test software applications to test the behaviour, functionality and integrity of systems and documents the results.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* Coordinate System Testing and System Integration Testing including both the functional and non-functional testing

* Coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing

* Coordinate IT infrastructure testing for any changes related to infrastructure components - Servers, Databases, etc. for BAU testing.

* Undertake requirements analysis to identify test requirements and to develop test plans.

* Provide support and perform test coordination activities as required by the Test Manager

* Determine and coordinate test data and environment requirements, and ensure the required test data and environments are setup for testing.

* Perform and coordinate static testing (reviewing specification documents) and conduct smoke and sanity testing

* Liaise with technical support team to ensure availability and functioning of testing tools (HP Quality Center/ALM, QTP & Load Runner)

* Identify and report defects for resolution. Provide sufficient information and supporting evidence to software developers regarding defects, issues and suggestions that arise during testing, to assist them in efficient and effective resolution of reported defects/issues.

* Liaise with developers, BA and business users as required during the testing phases.

* Provide regular testing and defect status reports to the manager, and other stakeholders as required.

* Advice Technology Testing Services Manager about risks, issues and improvements related to testing.

* Maintain quality of testing artefacts - test plans, test cases, defects and reports

* Provide technical leadership of those specialists and administrators assigned to the portfolio

* Maintain an effective working relationship with other Airservices staff to ensure that there is effective coordination of all activities in support of organisational objectives


* An Information Technology degree from an Australian Tertiary Institution or Equivalent. (Desirable)

* Industry accreditations (ACS membership, Microsoft certification etc.) (Desirable)

* Qualifications in IT Systems - development, maintenance, and operations. (Desirable)
