ITSM awards finalists announced
Nominees include banks, government, IT and health
The ITSM Industry Awards finalists have today been announced for the fields of best ITIL implementation as well as most innovative and IT service management champion.
The nominees include the Queensland Police Service, The University of Melbourne, Boral, Uniting Care Health, NAB, AMP, itSMF, and IT solution and services companies Sparq Solutions and Planwell Technology.
The annual awards will be held for the second time by itSMF Australia and will host at a gala function at Sydney's Waters Edge Restaurant on October 24.
itSMF Australia chairman Peter Cross said the awards are held to promote innovation and best practise in IT service management.
"Last year's awards provided a real highlight for the IT service management community and the event was very well received," Cross said.
"We were thrilled with the response in its first year and believe that these awards will remain prestigious and highly sought after by IT professionals and the organisations they serve. "IT service management has reached a level of maturity in Australia where these awards are warranted [and] this is our opportunity to recognise organisations and individuals who have been champions in the [field]." A student of the year award will also be allocated to the student who has attained the highest mark in the ISEB/EXIN Service Managers Certificate examination during the past year.
