Blog: Sit Your Way To Success At Meetings
You are where you sit: Your choice of perch for your regular meetings can send the wrong message and even hurt your career, say executive coaches, BusinessWeek.com reports today.
One example: If you want people to think you're a leader, don't sit along the wall. And if you're a manager running a meeting, you may want to try and seat your usual foes or troublemakers to your right. That's where "happy" — the office brown-noser, usually sits. Check out this article to see which one of seven personality types you are, based on where you like to position yourself at meetings. Are you happy, grumpy, or doc, the article asks? Just make sure you're not sleepy.
