Professor Steve Elliot came to The University of Sydney in 2002 from the University of Newcastle where he was Professor of Business and Head of the Central Coast School of eBusiness and Management. He was previously Director of the IT Research Centre at the University of New South Wales.

Steve has extensive industry and international experience and his research work has been directed toward the development of theory in the strategic management of information systems-enabled innovation, particularly in electronic commerce.

Steve chairs the UN-sponsored International Federation of Information Processing Working Group 8.4: E-Business Information Systems: Multidisciplinary research and practice.

As the VP of the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) for South Pacific, Christoph Schell is responsible for print and imaging products and solutions for business, government and consumers - from the most simple to the most complex enterprise environments.

He is instrumental in the regional implementation of HP's advanced print systems and services. Christoph is also a member of HP's South Pacific country leadership team that overseas implementation of company strategy for all business units and segments. This includes HP's environmental programs and initiatives.

Coming from Procter & Gamble Europe, Christoph joined HP in 1997. He brings a wealth of experience with him across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia, helping consumers, businesses and enterprises gain the most from their Information Technology.

He has founded a dozen companies with his business partners which combined employ over 400 people and turnover in excess of 150M per annum. Net profit across all companies for the 06/07 financial year was in excess of 15M.

Philip Argy

Philip Argy has been a partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Laws. He has been a computer buff for 35 years, is an experienced programmer and specialises in intellectual property, science and technology law. Philip's main areas of practice include patent litigation and commercial negotiations and dispute resolution strategies as well as outsourcing, electronic commerce and digital signatures. Euro money's Best of the Best has repeatedly listed Philip as one of the 20 best Information Technology lawyers in the world. His work includes adjudication and mediation in disputes involving the performance of technology, preparation of all kinds of agreements for transactions involving intellectual property, computers and high technology, and litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyright and confidential information. He is on the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) panel of arbitrators for the resolution of intellectual property disputes, especially those involving domain names.

Paul Harapin

Paul Harapin is the Managing Director, VMware, Australia & New Zealand. He has built VMware in this region from a start up company to a fast growing organisation that now has offices in all major capital cities.

Mr Harapin brings vast experience in the building and management of multi-million dollar IT corporations and his experiences spans 17 years across Asia and the USA.

Previously, Mr Harapin was Chairman & CEO of Singapore based Managed Services provider, TySat Software, building the company from a small base in Singapore to expansion throughout Southeast Asia and Australia.

He also served as Vice President, ASEAN, Australia & New Zealand, for Micromuse Inc, and as Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Internet Refinery, a New York Based Media Startup focusing on Cable TV Set Top box users.

Mr Harapin was also Vice President, Asia Pacific for Avesta Technologies Inc and Director of Sales, Asia-Pacific for the start-up Tivoli Systems, which was subsequently acquired by IBM Corporation.

Mr Harapin is a member of the Singapore-Australia Business Council, Australian-American Chamber of Commerce and Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also a member of the Australia Cambodia Foundation, a not for profit group assisting Australian supported Orphanages in Cambodia.
