Aussies to get new Lumia phones

The upcoming Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone.
Telstra will sell Nokia's new Lumia 920 smartphone, while Optus and Vodafone will carry the Lumia 820, Nokia has confirmed.
The new 4G-capable Lumia smartphones are among the first devices to feature Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8 operating system. Both phones are expected to be available in November, though Nokia has not yet revealed pricing or a specific availability date.
Nokia is banking on the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones to turn around its flagging fortunes in the high-end smartphone market.
"Operators and retailers are throwing their weight behind our new Nokia Lumia smartphones and we appreciate their continued support," said Nokia Australia’s managing director, Steve Lewis. "So many consumers and businesses have already made the switch to Nokia Lumia and with the new range, we believe many more will follow suit."
The flagship Lumia 920 has a 4.5in display with a 720p resolution, boasts a number of camera features including a new optical image stabilisation system and has a built-in wireless charging system. Nokia confirmed the phone is compatible with Telstra's 1800MHz 4G network.
The smaller Lumia 820 is a mid-range smartphone. It has an 8-megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, a microSD card slot for expandable memory and uses interchangeable backplates. It will also be compatible with the newly launched Optus 4G network.
Microsoft is yet to release all details of the Windows Phone 8 operating system that will power the Lumia phones, but the software is expected to be launched at the end of October. Among the new features include a completely new interface with support for small, medium and large tiles, more colour customisation options, built-in Skype integration, a data use monitor, and a revamped backup system that includes the ability to backup SMS messages.
In addition to Telstra, Optus and Vodafone, Nokia says a "number of leading retailers" will sell the Lumia smartphones but the company has not announced specific details.
Pricing, availability and colour range for the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will be announced at the end of October.

The Lumia 920 is WXGA (1280x768) which is a higher resolution than the 720p (1280x720) you have stated.
