NBN Co has appointed Brad Orgill to its board. Diane Smith-Gander and Siobhan McKenna have also been reappointed to the board for a second three-year term.
"Mr Orgill has valuable financial experience and a background in advising government as a member of the Queensland Reconstruction Authority Board and the former chair of the Building the Education Revolution Taskforce," said Senator Stephen Conroy, Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.
Orgill has previously spent 22 years at the UBS Group and held the title of chairman at UBS Australia and CEO of UBS Investment Bank Australia and head of Asia and Asia-Pacific equities.
He is also a member of the Regional Development Australia Fund Advisory Panel.
Peter Hay and Gene Tilbrook will be standing down as directors of the NBN Co board.
"Hay and Tilbrook have played an important role over the past three years as NBN Co has grown from a start up operation to an established company, ready to ramp up the rollout of high-speed broadband to all Australians," Conroy said.
