Avalias received the e-learning award for the Avalanche ST scenario training system.

Avalias received the e-learning award for the Avalanche ST scenario training system.

National ICT Australia (NICTA) and Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) won two categories in the iAwards New South Wales (NSW) awards for their work developing a system to automatically monitor the Sydney Harbour Bridge's structural integrity.

According to NICTA, the system uses algorithms and simple components to detect movements in the concrete deck of the bridge which are considered to be abnormal, while ignoring normal movements due to traffic usage.

RMS and NICTA took out the tools and infrastructure and e-logistics and supply chain categories. The organisations can now compete in the national iAwards in Melbourne on 9 August 2012.
