In brief: Westnet NSW customers affected by outage

Internet service provider reports up to 8600 customers have no internet access at present

iiNet subsidiary, Westnet, has reported an outage in New South Wales which is affecting approximately 8000 Westnet off-net ADSL customers and 600 mobile broadband customers.

The outage was reported at 8.40am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) this morning.

A Westnet spokesperson said in a statement that technicians are currently investigating the situation.

Outage reports have been posted on Westnet’s website.

In February, Westnet reported a server outage which affected email services for up to 5000 customers.
