WineMarket doubles sales thanks to Cloud

Consolidates CRM, e-commerce, accounting and inventory management software

WineMarket has achieved a 50 per cent increase in sales after consolidating its CRM, e-commerce, accounting and inventory management software.

The company, based in the Barossa Valley and acquired by Woolworths in April this year, moved its software to the Cloud, rolling out NetSuite OneWorld across its business.

Head of marketing and operations for WineMarket, Jeremy Harris, said the consolidation became necessary after the business outgrew its existing software systems

“NetSuite’s full automation of sales, distribution channels and financials...means we can manage business growth as it comes, and easily handle steep sales spikes when we run special promotions,” Harris said.

“We’re using all the same backend, warehouses, product lines, and our ability to move to NetSuite was around being able to consolidate these different pieces of software.”

The business, which sold around 200,000 cases of wine in 2010, has already increased its sales to 300,000 for 2011; a 50 per cent increase this year to date.

Replacing QuickBooks, Volution, Constant Contact and Stone Edge, WineMarket is now able to manage its entire business environment in the one software package, with Harris saying the flexible nature of the product is essential to the future of the business.

“NetSuite OneWorld can support an almost infinite number of distribution channels including third parties, enabling us to expand into new markets with only minimal additional costs,” Harris said. “Adding new stores is almost as easy as clicking Lego blocks together.”

This year has been one of major growth for WineMarket, with the company’s expansion into using eBay and Facebook storefronts contributing to third party retailers making up 11 per cent of its turnover.
