A wrap of the local industry's executive appointments.

IT infrastructure provider Thomas Duryea has appointed Nick McMenemy as NSW state manager.

In the new position, McMenemy will be charged with driving business along the east coast and to oversee expansion in the market.

Thomas Duryea chief executive, Andrew Thomas, said the appointment underlines the company’s commitment to addressing the needs of both Sydney clients and operations.

"Nick offers unique insights into the evolving needs of today’s organisations, and his depth of expertise in delivering service oriented IT solutions, combined with his ability to lead rapid growth ensures that our NSW clients will continue to receive outstanding technical consulting services,” Thomas said.

Prior to the appointment, McMenemy held the position of national cloud services manager at Thomas Duryea and played a pivotal role in the launch of Thomas Duryea’s 'Cloudium' service, a private cloud as-a-service model offered in conjunction with vendors including EMC, Cisco, VMWare, APC.

Previously, McMenemy was located in the UK where he held a number of positions in the ICT sector in the development and commercialisation of products and the adoption of Cloud computing. He also worked for Brennan IT where he assisted in the launch of the company’s private Cloud services.

IP Payments

Corporate payment service company IP Payments has appointed Vinay Chand as chief financial officer among a number of staff appointments in the company over recent months.

In the position, Chand will take responsibility for capital management, risk management, financial and audit reporting, forecasting and variance analysis.

Previously, Chand has held roles with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, BT Financial, the Commonwealth Bank and most recently, AMP Bank.

Commenting on the appointment, IP Payments director, Mark Lewis, said Vinay’s strategic, operational and financial experience would help drive the business forward in coming years.

Vinay joins the recent appointments of Steve Stivic, Linda Alassad and Winston Liu as business solutions managers.

Stivic leaves his previous role of solutions designer and project architect at Optus, while Alassad held roles with Westpac and St George Bank, where she was responsible for customer service, implementation, sales and project management. Liu also has experience within the billing and payment industries. Kartik Kandukurti and Richard Wilson have joined the company as software developers taking on the responsibility to develop and maintain IP Payment’s systems.
