Apple's Jobs, Facebook's Zuckerberg, Google's Schmidt set to talk tech with Obama

President Barack Obama reportedly will meet with Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt and possibly other business leaders in “technology and innovation” in San Francisco Thursday night.
The meeting, listed on the President’s schedule on the White House website as taking place at a private residence, will cover issues such as strengthening the U.S. economy, creating jobs and supporting entrepreneurship.

Topics such as the role of social media in recent protests across Egypt, Algeria and other countries will presumably also be on the table. (We also wonder whether the famously BlackBerry-addicted commander in chief will get any sort of Apple iPhone or Google Android smartphone pitch… )
Obama has been busy on the tech front of late, seeking a big boost in cybersecurity spending and calling for a massive investment in 4G wireless so that the broadband technology will reach 98% of the country.
It’s been an eventful new year for Obama’s guests, with Jobs taking a medical leave from Apple, Schmidt getting bumped upstairs at Google, and Zuckerberg continuing his dizzying rise to fame and power with everything from a cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live to major movie awards and nominations for The Social Network film based on the creation of Facebook.
ABC News, Reuters and others have confirmed at least these members of the Obama guest list for tonight.
