Government 2.0 taskforce report author, Nicholas Gruen, has praised Queensland Police's use of social networking site Facebook during the recent flood crisis.
In a tweet from his personal Twitter account, Gruen said the public had responded positively to the online presence of Queensland Police.
“Stunning performance by the Qld Police in the floods,” Gruen Tweeted. “500 compliments on Facebook.”
The tweet refers to a post from the Queensland Police who praised the support the state had given to them during the flood crisis.
Gruen’s praise of the Queensland government’s use of social media comes as Dell announced it had donated $125,000 to the Queensland government’s flood appeal.
The donation is part of Dell’s plan to help its customers in the area, with Queensland based employees currently playing an active part in helping the local community recover.
