SaaS dashboard good for Plan B

Perth-based wealth advisory firm Plan B has implemented a performance management application in the cloud to deliver a snapshot of key performance indicators.
The company subscribed to the myDials application so management could track the status of client meetings and asses the impact of company presentations.
Plan B account director Darryl Morphett said the upgrade to the dashboard has brought another dimension to the company’s performance metrics.
“We required greater timeliness in our organisational reporting to provide better coordination of business critical information, including key performance indicator analysis on forecast business performance. User friendliness and faster compilation of accurate reports were key requirements.”
“Our intention was to bring, current, relevant, accurate information to the end user to assist with key decision making and added discipline in business forecasting,” Morphett said.
The news comes as Gartner last week predicted SaaS revenue will exceed $US8.5 billion in 2010 worldwide.

SOA Adoption for Dummies
This book describes our approach to SOA adoption, which we call SOA rocket science. SOA and Business Processes: Making the Connection
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is also complex, and one of its main characteristics is that an SOA system is comprised of multiple applications that are combined to accomplish critical business processes. Discussions of SOA can quickly grow so complex that the system’s main benefits to an organization are difficult to fully understand. This article discusses SOA Suite 11g, a family of products that take SOA to a new level and correct some of the problems caused by the very combination of components and multiplication of languages that make SOA a flexible, agile system. -
