Top Partner Award from Citrix Systems Recognises NetApp’s Commitment to Helping Customers Meet Their Application Delivery and Virtualization Needs

SYDNEY, Australia — 20 November 2008 — NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced that it has received the Citrix Ready™ Solution of the Year award from Citrix Systems, Inc., which recognises a company that excels in providing application delivery and virtualization solutions to customers that are complementary to Citrix and drive Citrix adoption. NetApp was honored with the award during Citrix Summit™, the premier training conference exclusively designed for Citrix business partners worldwide.

“NetApp exemplifies how partnering with Citrix Systems enables both of our companies to deliver joint solutions that benefit customers worldwide and increase market leverage,” said Frank Artale, vice president, Business Development, Citrix Systems. “Together, our goal is to provide mutual customers with seamless, integrated, end-to-end application delivery and virtualization solutions that improve IT efficiency, support increased mobility, reduce costs, and accelerate business agility.”

NetApp was chosen for this award based on five selection criteria from Citrix: impact on business, commitment to its relationship with Citrix, customer satisfaction, channel and field commitment, and marketing commitment. Citrix Ready showcases select, trusted solutions designed to meet various customer needs. Through the online catalog and Citrix Ready branding program, customers can easily find and build a trusted infrastructure. Citrix Ready not only demonstrates current mutual product compatibility, but through continued industry relationships also makes sure of future interoperability.

“We have worked closely with Citrix Systems to promote and provide the benefits of application delivery and virtualization to our customers by offering specific NetApp® storage solutions for Citrix,” said Patrick Rogers, vice president of Solutions Marketing, NetApp. “These solutions leverage the one-click NetApp storage integration embedded in Citrix XenServer and is now also a part of the Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix Delivery Center, and Citrix Cloud Centre product offerings. With these embedded capabilities in XenServer 5, Citrix customers can fully leverage unique NetApp solutions such as data deduplication for primary storage at no extra cost. We are honored to be chosen as a Citrix Ready Solution of the Year and to be showcased within the Citrix global alliance and channel ecosystems.”

The Citrix Ready initiative provides partner management, joint solution testing, joint marketing, go-to-market tools, and support so that partners such as NetApp can embrace and extend Citrix application delivery infrastructure solutions to leverage Citrix’s dominant market strength, global presence, brand recognition, and worldwide go-to-market channels.

Building world-class partnerships with industry leaders is a central component of NetApp’s and Citrix’s business strategies. Together, NetApp and Citrix deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through improved performance and accelerated return on investment for application delivery, storage, and data management for virtualised server and desktop environments.
