Security Analyzer continues run of success with F5 deployment
 24 August, 2007 10:03:29

MELBOURNE, August 24 - The Mu-4000 Security Analyzer from Mu Security, now available in Australia, is being deployed by F5 (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in application delivery networking, to discover, document and eliminate potential security and robustness vulnerabilities for its BIG-IP and WANJet products.

Mu Security is a pioneer in the new security analyser market. The F5 announcement follows recent news that SonicWALL, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNWL) a leading provider of comprehensive data protection solutions, is using the Mu-4000 Security Analyzer.

Four high profile infotech award citations since April are also raising the Mu-4000 profile among industry players. These comprise a Silver Readers' Choice Award from TechTarget's Information Security Magazine; 2007 Frost & Sullivan Award for Product of the Year in the security test and measurement industry; 2007 Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) Labs Innovation Award; and finalist for the prestigious 2007 NXTcomm EOS Network Award in the Network Design/Services Group Category, Network Infrastructure.

F5 is leveraging the Mu-4000 to automate current vulnerability auditing and remediation processes throughout its product development lifecycle. As a result, F5 is ensuring its customers operate the most robust, high performance and secure systems built to remain resistant to hacker attacks and network downtime.

SonicWALL is ensuring customers best-in-class product resiliency and robustness by leveraging Mu-4000 systems to discover, document and eliminate sources vulnerabilities and potential security breaches for its UTM, Firewall and VPN product suites.

With the Mu-4000, SonicWALL is automating its complex product testing and release processes using Mu's constantly growing three-plus years of published vulnerabilities to ensure systems remain highly resistant to malicious attacks and potential costly network downtime.

In Australia, Mu Security distributor In Systems Pty Ltd reports increasing interest in the Mu-4000 Security Analyzer’s capabilities, especially from sectors such as leading telcos, critical infrastructure providers (water, electricity etc) and top tier security consultants.
